While the proposed EU mission in Chad and CAR has received considerable media attention, it is remarkable how little critical analysis it has engendered. This paper seeks to fill this gap in the existing literature.
It provides a rough net assessment of the projected EU mission in Chad and CAR – given the information presently available – and endeavors to shed light on some of the most important challenges this operation could face.
